A Consortium of support organizations for participatory development and governance

The Jan Darpan portal is a collective initiative of a consortium of support organizations that have played significant role in capacity building of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) for more than quarter of a century. The consortium is also committed to facilitate and promote processes, policies and programs that empower citizens and their collective actions. This portal is one of the initiatives in this direction.

We are hopeful that with a large number of grassroots CSOs, we will reach out to the vulnerable citizens and migrant workers to demand and seek entitlements. The data generated from this portal will also be useful in providing evidences for policy directions.

जन दर्पण पोर्टल उन सहायक संगठनों के संघ की एक सामूहिक पहल है, जिन्होंने 25 सालों से अधिक समय तक सिविल सोसायटी संगठनों (सीएसओ) के क्षमता निर्माण में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है।संघ, नागरिकों और उनके सामूहिक प्रयासों को सशक्त बनाने वाली प्रक्रियाओं, नीतियों और कार्यक्रमों को सुगम बनाने और बढ़ावा देने के लिए भी प्रतिबद्ध है। यह पोर्टल इसी दिशा में एक पहल है।

हमें उम्मीद है कि बड़ी संख्या में जमीनी स्तर के स्वै्च्छिक संगठनों के साथ, हम कमजोर नागरिकों और प्रवासी श्रमिकों की उनके हक एवं अधिकारों तक पहुंच बनाने में सफल होंगे। इस पोर्टल से उत्पन्न डेटा नीति निर्देशों के लिए साक्ष्य प्रदान करने में भी उपयोगी होगा।
